Taking the Midlife Stride with Purpose

Have you entered your midlife stride?

Envision this, you are in your mid 20’s to early 30’s. You are young, you have energy, no laugh lines or crows feet to be found, no silver hairs peeking out of your (forgot to make an appointment with your colorist) head.

You know, that time you felt like you had your whole life ahead of you?

Can we just go back to that? Go back well before reality set in, before we looked in the mirror and saw our parents looking back at us?

Alas, we cannot. Don’t fret, there is hope for us GenX and Baby Boomers. It is not too late to slow or reverse some of the aging process and reclaim some of that energy we once had. Before we look in the mirror and see our grandparents looking back at us.

Technology and science have come a long way since our parents and grandparents took their midlife stride. My hope is that together we can share these new ways of doing things and slow down the aging process with this new knowledge we have gained. Hopefully making our midlife stride a bit more tolerable and enjoyable.

Further more, I hope we can work together to turn the so called “midlife crisis” on it’s head. This is a great time in our lives. A time to appreciate all that we have learned and laugh at the dumb things we did in our youth in order to gain the wisdom that we now have.

This is the time to reinvent ourselves. Time to deepen our relationships with our creator, our spouses, and our children. Time to discover a new hobby, gain more knowledge, read a book, cook a dish you cannot pronounce, or fall in love with something or someone all over again or for the first time.

We have a lot of life to look forward to. Let’s do it together, in stride and with purpose.
