A Note To My Sons

Boys playing

Today I am grateful for so many things but most of all I am grateful for my children. You boys mean the world to me. I would not trade you for anything nor ever think you as anything less than a blessing in my life. I am honored that God chose me to raise each of you up and I thank God everyday for you. I love each of you completely and without conditions. There is nothing you can do to make me love you any less. I love you each with all my heart and yet each so differently.

There are so many things that I hope for for my boys:

I hope and pray that you grow into the men of God. That you love and put others first without selfishness and be blessed everyday. That you are kind and respectful at all times regardless of being wronged. I hope and pray you grow old with me and I get to see you loved, happy, and blessed in this life. I hope you have as many successes as mistakes and that you learn from them all.

I want to say thank you for putting up with me on the hard days and for forgiving me of the mistakes I make in parenting you. I know I am not the parent I am meant to be every day but know I try. Know that each success and mistake is a learning experience for me and I promise to try to remember that. In turn please remember I am not capable of perfection. Please love me in spite of my imperfections and for who I am. Continue to forgive me each time I disappoint you.

I love you so much and could never express the extent of that love with words.

My beautiful boys, you are a pure joy. I love the time I am given in this life with each of you; even through all the ups and downs that this life brings us.
